In my work I strive to capture fleeting moments of beauty, to give them permanence through the medium of paint (and sometimes also pastels, graphite, collage - whatever feels fun and right).

I find inspiration in modern and contemporary art, but also simply in daily life, where there are always little discoveries to make, if you take time to slow down and look.

I am interested in colour and materials, the opposition of light and dark, human presence/absence, and the elusive line between abstraction and representation.
